Frequently Asked Questions

We understand that this is a difficult time for you and your loved ones. Here are some questions that patients and families most commonly ask. If you cannot find the answer to your question here, please call us.

What will I need for my stay?
In addition to toiletries we encourage all of our patients to bring at least 2 weeks worth of home medications and clothing. It is an important part of therapy to get you into your own clothes and functioning as you would at home or in your community.

What happens in my therapy sessions?
You will take an active part in therapy in 30 to 45 minute sessions throughout the day at least 5 days a week. Daily progress needs to be demonstrated and participation in therapy is a requirement.

Can my family stay with me?
We understand that family plays a crucial role in the recovery process. Since our rooms are private we can accommodate one family member to stay overnight. Each of our suites comes equipped with a pullout sofa chair. Please speak with your case manager about overnight guest.

How will my regular doctors know what happens at REHAB?
Your REHAB Physician will dictate a discharge summary that will be sent to your primary doctors. In addition, our care navigators contact your primary care physician and notify them of your recovery process.

What is the discharge process?
Normally, the day before you leave arrangements will be finalized for; medication for one month, follow-ups with Primary Care Physicians (PCP), Medical Specialists and Outpatient Therapies.  In addition, our care navigator will continue to follow your care one year from your discharge date from Accel at Willow Bend. Please ask your care navigator any additional questions you have about the discharge procedures and care after REHAB.

How do I get my medicine after I leave REHAB?
Prescriptions will be written by your attending physician. You will take that prescription to your local pharmacy.
